I'm not a Nascar fan, but it's nice to see a car again that somewhat resembles something you'd see in the showroom. I still think the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger would be better choices to use, but this is a huge step in the right direction.

    And the....Camry?

I agree with you. I'd like to see them race stripped, caged, and factory cubed STOCK cars. But thanks to the folks as NASCAR we wont see that any time soon.

I totally forgot about Toyota being in Nascar. Shows you how much I watch it. They could, possibly, use the Scion FR-S coupe as the basis for their car. Even though it's not badged as a Toyota, it might be a way to show that brand to another demographic.

    A. It's 200 HP
    B. They're only making 86 of those things, right?

Sadly it will never happen. And if it does it will be a long way off.

Yes, it's only 197hp, but a Fusion is only going to be 237-247hp at the top trim/motor combo. They're making a full production of them. There was some special nonsense for the first 86 people who lined up to buy one.

They wouldn't be racing fusions though, that's the point.

One can dream, right? I think the Nationwide cars are a better idea from the get-go right now.
