Cars a lot further along now. Just need to finish cold side connection then machine the fuel rails and plumb fuel system. Then its all got to come out, finished weld everything, paint, toss it all back in and start wiring. Converter should be here next week, hoping to have motor out and everything welded n painted by then so trans and motor can get put in for good.

Chopped the old front end off.

Bent up some 1" moly and made the basic new front frame.

Bent up some 1/2" to build a bumper support and fuel cell mount/rack.

    Got everything fitted last night

I think where most of you have your problems with all of this, is the fact that you really don't fully understand the internal workings and dynamics of the common combustion engine. There is no magic tune up, and motors are stupid. The only time a motor will complain is when something is wrong.

    Couple small updates,

Got the new center section in and the rear end all buttoned up, front brakes put on, water tank mounted and lines plumbed for the cylinder head cooling and the fire system installed.

In the home stretch, if all goes well we'll be firing it up tonight.
Got converter yesterday, tossed it and the trans in, ran trans lines and mounted up ice box cooler, drive shaft is in etc...

Started wiring it the other day just moving along a little slow at first as the Holley harness sucked so I'm fixing a bunch of it before i put it in the car.

Need to prime the motor, toss in trans fluid and do a once over on everything.

Got the holley dash mounted and working.

Been out there pretty late last few nights and will be tonight. Feel free to stop by if the lights are on, I'm out there and there's always cold beer in the fridge.
