Yup you're absolutly right about those connectors but the chances of them getting wet is almost impossible. I normally use these inside cars like in trucks and such. Actually, I have been looking for an affordable sealed option for applications where water would be involved. Most of what I've found are connectors priced as high as $130 a piece!

I have the correct Deutsch tool for crimping their terminals, they just need an affordable option for their conenctors.

Be careful using those in a car application!

They have a reciever groove but its not deep enough to hold a thin o-ring correctly nor are the pins sealed on the backside, I've tried and had alot of failures with them. I'm not knocking Joe's work, please don't take this that way his stuff looks amazing! Just giving cauting from my experience using those products.

That is bad a$$!!! Did he splice in those connectors basically where the grommet used to be? That is an awesome idea! I like it
Actually no, that part of the firewall is now just an aluminum plate. The harness itself is 100% new, not a modified stock harness. Jobs like this it's easier to start from scratch.

OMG another friggin GN. Back in the early 90's I used to be a big time street racer. I had a Trans Am that would pull the wheels off the ground with cheater slicks. It was scary fast. I raced that car for about 3 years. I only lost 4 races. One to a blown 69 camaro with a big block, wheel tubs and wheelie bars. I knew that car was going to beat me but I just wanted to see it run. Another was a 71 Road Runner with a 440. Can't remember the third. But, the fourth car was a friggin GN. That car was faster than all of the others. It was so fast it was ridiculous. Have fun with that car. They are so cool.
