Default nitrous bottle leaking, help anyone?

So I got my bottle filled the other day, put it in my car, then went to the track sunday and turned it on and it started leaking pretty heavily between the copper bottle adapter that adapts it to 4an and the bottle itself. the threads are not -an and nor are they pipe threads, i tried putting teflon tape on the threads but it quickly blew right past that. Is there saposed to be a copper crush washer in there or an oring perhaps? here's a picture of the large fitting i'm talking about, it's the copper piece right off the bottle where the leak is from.

Should be a large nylon washer in there
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

take the adapter to the local independent parts store and get a nylon oil drain plug washer if they don't have a nos one, it'll work fine
I'd suggest having an extra bottle adapter and sealing ring in your tool box along with a #4 line end for quick repairs
