    Default Driveway problems

My asphalt driveway is cracking pretty bad and it's only 2.5 years old. I knew the job was crappy when the guy did it but it was cheap and it lasted for a bit (I've sealed it every year also) but I think I am ready to move up to cement. Any idea what the cost would be for a 25 x 40 and removing the asphalt ?

Thats about the same yardage as I just had done at the house, It was broke up in sections though not one big pour/piece. Paid 6k

I think where most of you have your problems with all of this, is the fact that you really don't fully understand the internal workings and dynamics of the common combustion engine. There is no magic tune up, and motors are stupid. The only time a motor will complain is when something is wrong.

I am not a cement guy so I don't know if this is one piece and then they cut it or if it would be several sections. 6k is more than I was hoping to pay.

Sent just not sure if it's a big enough job to get him down this way. Maybe he can lay my pad for pole barn at the same time....hmmm

Concrete is about $3.50/sft right now, so for the 1000sft pad you are talking $3500. Price will fluctuate depending if you want hand joints or sawcut joints, what type of finish (broom, swirl), if you want fiber or wire mesh etc etc.

Shitty part is that for 1000sft you are at about 11yards, which can not all fit in one truck.

How much does one truck hold ? I can add another 30x40 for my pole barn if I can get it for 3.50

Max is 10 yards, but most delivery places like to go a little less. We used to assume they would bring us 9.
