Seriously, try using oven cleaner "Easy Off". Apply it, let it sit for like 10-15 min, then wipe off the painted on stripes right off. Start with small area first to test.

I used this method before. I got the Easy off in the yellow can. I sprayed it on a paper towel and then spread it on the stripe with a Q-tip. Wiped most of it off. There were a few stubborn spots i hit with 1500 sandpaper. Then wheeled the whole car. came out like the stripe was never there.

We use paint thinner at our work. Put some on a rag and gently rub the pin stripe off. If it does leave a mark a wheel will take it right out. Good luck!
Doctor Ru did some graphics work on a z24 I once had. Then two years latter I wanted to remove that to have him do a metal torn graphic. He had me use a pressure steam washer to remove the previous work. It blasted it off and did zero harm to the clear coat.
Try this it works darn fast and easy. I only rented the machine for two hours to get the task done.
There are only 8 pistons standing between you and your fear, spray it!
