This is my new aquarium, koi pond. Had them going for 7years now. consolidated 2 other ponds into this one. it's over 3ft deep in the center. Built it with timber I got from Scott714 on here.

I have a 80g tank with the bowed out front. It is freshwater because I'm cheap lol. I used to do oscars and cichlids and African clown knifes ( those get big). But I became tired of always cleaning it because they ate so much. Also they pet stores around here once in a while would get a sick order of feeders and my fish would get sick and some die! Shit pisses me of lol.
I had a 29g tank also where I hunted down the most colorful cichlids I could find, ppl thought it was saltwater because ow bright they were. Well they ended up getting some non treatable desease from anew fish I put in there and alm of them died (15-17) in about 4 days. So I tore the tank down and sold it. Now I just do feeder fish lol. Have 7 now that
are 2 years old and look pretty healthy. Idk last 2/3 years it's been hard to keep shot alive in my big tank. I di t take great care of them but I stay on top of it, but they die. My friends have lil 30 g tanks and they let them go to complete hell and there fish never die. WTF lol.

I never used to feed my cichlids feeder goldfish, because of the disease aspect. They usually got earthworms, beef heart, freeze dried krill, or crayfish. I used to hit a now defunct bait shop up on Van Dyke just outside of Romeo for crays, they had em for 25 cents each vs the $1 each at pet stores.

Get some play sand from Home Depot...its dirt cheap and works well. Make sure you rinse it well. I always used a mixture of play sand and pea gravel, along with driftwood and leaf litter. Had a very natural look to it, and the fish were happy.

Friend gave me a 75 gallon this past weekend. I put it on the back patio, filled it, checked for leaks, then rattle canned the back black. I've been out of the fish game a good 15 years or so, but feels good to be back. This is what I did before I got into audio

I'm thinking either a single wet pet (Oscar, Flowerhorn, Midas, Red Devil), a colony of Tanganyikan shell dwellers, a colony of South American dwarf cichlids, discus, or a South American community (Angels, German Rams, school of corydoras, school of hatchetfish). So many options with this thing.

Our Giant Pond Fish (No Koi though) will be coming inside soon for the winter. They are vultures... eat nonstop and out of our hands. Fun to have though...
