I have a little exhaust leak on my Mach 1. The car has a Bassani cat-back and O/R MRT H-pipe. The weld on the passenger side muffler gave out at the seam around the bottom left corner of the can. As a result the cross over on the mid-pipe doesn’t align properly (or at all) and the car sounds like a tractor when I start it up. Also the cross over was intended to be a slip-fit, no welding or clamps. I don’t think I can purchase a standalone muffler from Bassani so I was hoping I could just have the seams welded back together, loosen the system, and re-align the mid pipe and probably put a clamp around the two pipes. I’ll try to get pictures when I get home. Also, for what it’s worth, I have an extra Bassani catted X-pipe that I could swap out the MRT pipe for... Any recommendations?
Any good shops that can do this kind of work for relatively cheap? None of the Tuffy’s Midas’s, etc. want to touch the car since the cats have been removed. I live in the Troy area, so preferably something in and around that area.
Thanks fellas.
