    Default Rear end narrowing

How much is everyone narrowing mustang rear ends? I'm doing a mini tub on my car. I see most people do a 3 inch. I'm thinking of going more. I'm interested in what people are doing and for what reason. Like to fit a standard wheel, clearance issues?? I'm getting custom wheels so I can get what ever back spacing I need.

If i remember you cant go more than 3 or 3.5 without getting into the controll arm mount. Call Team Z motorsports, he does them in his sleep and kows the recipe.

Yea 3 inches is about the limit without touching the lower arm mount. I'm running the instant center bracket from team Z. I stopped by and talked to them this morning should be all good. Now I can drop my axle off.

Going to drop it off to team Z next week. Thinking 31 splines, just not sure what carrier and ratio to use. Any suggestions.
It's a street car 28 inch tall tire, 4l60e with a converter. My concern is rpm while cruising at 70.

It's a ls 5.3 with a 78mm on it. Final combo will be a forged 6.0 with a turbo. Combo now makes about 500 to rear. 6.0 will be closer 800 rear.

It has 3.73 now and it's to much gear for my liking on the express way. I was thinking around 3.40s.

I guess I can go 35, just know I will never need it in this car. The car is being built pro touring. Drags trip duty will be maybe 2% of its life. We usually only hit one drag strip on the power tour each year.
