Paypal change things?

Sounds like it could be a scam. If you

Happened to me last thursday and i called paypal and they had me do a couple things in my account..then it went through.

Did you recently sell something & were expecting
a paypal payment or was this an unexpected notice
that you “received a palpay payment”?

In my case, I hadn’t sold anything, so I was suspicious.
Paypal confirmed the email sent to me was indeed a scam.

I had this happen last week too. A friend was sending me $$ for me to pick up some parts for him, and I got the email, but nothing in paypal. I have more than one email address linked to my paypal (one personal, one for paypal payments through ebay and my website), so he cancelled his first payment, and sent it using my other email address. Worked fine. I received payment through my website, and through the email address that didn't work this week, no problems. Maybe a hiccup last week, but if the first payment was not coming from a trusted friend, I would have been more suspicious of a scam.
