    not positive yet.. really been looking at HTM 24ss.. but the other side of me wants a V 25-28 ft for taking out on the big water

    Buy as big as you can afford for,Lake Michigan.

    25-28 feet gets small in a hurry on a big lake. Spent a few summers on a 26' Powerquest that would run just over 70mph on dead-flat water and it was waaaaay small when things started getting rougher on bigger water (Erie, Michigan, etc.). My buddy's 35 ft Fountain was a totally different animal in similar conditions. Granted, hull design plays a large role, but length will play a major factor overall. As stated above, go as large as you can afford.

    i plan to. just not sure if i will be heading out to lake michigan all that often where the v would be much better.

    looking to stay single engine with this boat but eventually will be looking for something in the 35-38 with twins but not for a while yet

    So, decided to have the entire boat blasted down to the gel and repainting.

    Lafata Custom Paint, couldnt be happier.
