I have the garrett ACE 250. Good starter detector for around 200 bucks. I have found some cool stuff with it.. Lots of wheat pennies, 1917 buffalo nickel, a buncha other coins.. But be prepared to dig up lots of "can slaw" shredded aluminum cans from lawn mowers, pop tabs and aluminum garbage. It takes time to learn the machine. My father in law has a whites setup that he has around 1300 into that works pretty sweet, but he has been doing it for years.
