I'll tell you this much. I've driven several tuned 14 Shelby's making 700 to the tire, and that car will get away from you if you take the power for granted. With that said, that hellcat is not for someone not used to that power. I'm assuming it's just as cold there, where he wrecked it, as it is here. I drove a hellcat on sat, and because it was a buddies car, he said not to be bashful and lay into it. At 60 mph, this car broke the tires loose and spun until you let off the gas. Obviously it had a lot to do with the 275 tire and cold ground, but that car will hurt you quick if you don't know what your doing.
I'm sure a lot if the guys buying the hellcat are coming from the 5.7 or 6.1 NA hemi cars. I can tell you this as I've owned modded 5.7 and 6.1 cars, this hellcat it a totally different animal. It felt to me like comparing my 2010 mustang with a blower that made 420 rw to my shelby that Makes 700. The hellcat gets down, plain and simple.

Gods way of sayin ....he never should of had the car in the first place
God should be worrying about other things that are more important.
No worries, it’ll be in “fine shape” for sale in Dearborn next week
Um..., even if the air bags are blown, it is far from a right off. The only way that car is a total is if the engine is somehow damaged. But he most likely will be without the car until September. The hoods, radiator supports and cooling system are particular to the car. I have a Charger Hell Cat in our body shop after hitting a deer. We're waiting on a cooling module.
