    Default Dog seizures

    Hey guys,

my 2.5year old Norwegian Elkhound/english shepherd has been having seizures. He had two around new years, his first ever, today he had 4.. maybe 5 counting being "lost" in our driveway.

Any tips for finding a possibly trigger?? Or for leaving him on his own for 8+ hours a day?

Thoughts on the meds for this, I've read some not so good things ..

    Thanks

Don't know if you'd be against giving your dog cannabis oil, but it will help drastically with the seizures and with a low dose won't get him high.

Why not go to a vet and see what they say?

I know I wouldn't get on a veterinarian forum and ask their opinion of why my car was overheating.

Friend of mine had a yellow lab who had seizures. Vet first recommended that they stop giving him ANY people food. No scraps. They said salt can play a big factor. It definitely seemed to help, but it became a lifelong issue for the dog.

    Sorry man...

    Thanks guys,

We went to the vet earlier today for blood work ... they said he was clean ..

We dont feed him any human food, strictly on 4health dog food.

My options with the vet are ... pills or probably put him down??

X2. That stuff works wonders. Very good for cancer, too.

My old dog had seizures, vet put it on medication (forgot name). Dog was a zombie. I cut the doseage in 1/4 and the dog was active and no more seizures.

Try the cannabis oil before deciding to put him down!
