I'm sorry for your family's loss. We lost our old english bulldog because of seizures. It was like loosing a member of the family.

Thank you, it's amazing how much of an impact they make on your day to day life. Did you have another dog while you still had the english bulldog?
We had two, and now that Rocko is gone I don't know how Eva will adjust.

No we did not. I hope Eva will adjust to Rocko not being there. From the way you described his last few days she probably sensed he was ill.

Thank you, they have an extremely happy dog there now. I hope I get to see him again one day.

Me too, my wife and I were just discussing how we sheltered her life for the last 3 years. Mainly because we were scared of seizures in public, etc. She helped out a lot with him, if he was bumping into things she would get in his way so he would change his direction. She's probably known that Rocko was sick, longer than we did. We just didn't find out until he had a big cluster.

We also had her at the Vet today too, usually when we take Rocko by himself we show back up with him. I opt'd to have her come, hoping she would understand more.

Thank you . 10 years is a lot of memories!!
Not to kind of jump on the subject, but we were offered a ceramic paw print for Rocko. My wife just made this today.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Putting a pet down is the worst thing I've ever been through, that shadow box is awesome though. We lost our oldest boxer two years ago, and we got a paw print too, but whenever my wife goes to make a shadow box she can't keep it together. Again, so sorry.
I used to be 'with it'. Then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm 'with' isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.......
