Got ground from the garage for a month.. oh the perks of being 17. It may last 2 weeks, usually I get out of the grip pretty early on.

In the mean time I am looking for a fox/thirdgen for my buddy. Can't post in the for sale forum as I don't have enough posts. Preferably a running MANUAL car around $2800. Just message me through here and I will pass it along to him. Thanks guys!

    Here's a decent 4th gen probably needs 7-800 worth of work http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/4860667896.html

Little update, got most of the engine bay harness unplugged. Now I'm just scratching my head on the actual removal of it. Anyone do this before? I'm thinking there are some clips on the backside.

So I got the harness out. I could probably do it again in half the time. I ended up cutting 3 grounds because I couldn't get to them with a wrench or socket. They were located on the passengers side head. I'll get some pics later. Now to start pulling the engine!

It's easier to pull harness and engine as one

Yeah I learned that the hard way. Oh well, it's out in one piece. This is my first time pulling an engine.

Everything should be disconnected now. Only things left is the exhaust, bell housing and the motor mounts. Waiting for the weather to break so I can roll it outside and use the cherry picker.

Strip the accessories off the motor, you will need a puller for the power steering pulley, but that will give you room to bring motor forward to access trans bolts. As far as exhaust cut it right after the manifolds

I assume you aren't keeping the old motor. If it was me I'd strip it to short block for simple removal, also pull the radiator
