I need to get my car down here now that I might have room to work on it. Haven't driven it since I got out of high school. Last picture I could find of it was putting the motor in about 4 years ago. More or less still looks like this, just bolted down. Last problem I had was that the mini starter I got bangs into the flywheel, PowerMaster rebuilt it and it still has the same problem.

'66 mustang coupe all new body work

Not really a resto-mod, but the old car with updated suspension, brakes, rear end, stereo, and engine and trans (mild 302, with AOD trans)

It was my 1st old car, and I choose a VW because they were easy to work on and parts were dirt cheap (at the time). It got it running with junkyard parts that year (back when junkyards were still littered with Beetles) and used it as a summer driver. Between 1994-2004, I slowly modified it into the period-correct Cal-Look car you see below (keeping it as a summer driver the whole time). I've held onto it because of emotional attachment, and it does not take up much floor space.

Nothing is keeping it off the road at this point other than my lack of free time. This project car has never been "done": my next things to do are listed below in order of priority:
    Recover the seats (in process)
Install a new radio with USB input
    Headliner repairs
Have paint-less dent removal done to remove some of the dings (366k miles, mostly original paint)
Install a used fuse box (mine is in rough shape)
Hella H4 headlights with LED bulbs
Replace the remote oil cooler lines, as they are starting to weep
Install a Mallory box that I've had for 8 years (not sure it needs it)
Weld up the turn signal holes in the front fender & have the fenders & valance repainted
Thats my first daily driver same color and everything. Mine had 350k when i got it. When i sold it it had 415k didn't smoke or burn oil you can't kill those things.

The heating system sucks ass though.

LOVE that Beetle!! It's done just right, too! Great job Kaline!
Is it just me, or is the United States of America going further and faster downhill by the day??

Thanks for the props on my Super Beetle. BTW, the engine is a 1776cc with a vintage Crower cam, SPG roller crank, dual Weber 40DCN 2bbl carbs and ported & fly-cut round-port heads. The trans was built with close-ratio gears and a 4.12:1 ring & pinion. It scoots around pretty well.
