I dig your 1955 wagon. What is the story of this car and your plans for it?

Yea, something like that. It only took me 10 months for the crank seals and over a year to finish the side exit exhaust.

I guess the thread turned into more of a "what long term projects are you dragging ass on"

So it's a 1955 Chevrolet 210 Handyman, my dad bought it when I was in kindergarten because he knew the guy that owned it and he was moving to Texas. The only reason for buying it was it has wheels and good tires on it that my dad needed for his van. It was a running and driving car at that time with a 1964 327 from a vette and 3spd transmission. It sat in the backyard and never moved, and he gave it to me. Somewhere around high school I pulled the engine to rebuild it and never did. Once I graduated and life started I decided to go drag racing and built a Mustang, got married had kids and being too busy ever since. Soo.....34 years later I've moved it to my house so my 15 year old and I can get started lol

Not quite sure on the plan except take it apart, blast it and start to put it together. The only things I think I'm missing are the front bumper, the bird for the hood and the front bench seat. I think I'll research and see if it was an original 6 or 8 cylinder car and replace with a new version of the same.

Just looked it up, not something I was familiar with. That would be cool if it was an original 6. Thanks for the suggestion

Oh geez!....I didn't see your signature and I never recall seeing your build thread. I've been searching the webs for days now until a followed several links to your build ...lol could've thrown me a bit more obvious bone than a suggestion...lol

I've really convinced myself that since the car was an original 6 I'll keep it that way and have been trying to learn more about your 4200 idea.... Yet here you stand right in front of me with it all figured out.

Your build is very cool. I've read all the pages on the build and testing on vortec4200.com
