Here are a few pieces getting well sanded in order to polish them. IMG_5659.JPG

These are the same parts from above along with a hand full of stainless fasteners after I ran them across the buffer.

I started assembling the rear drive axle. Put the hubs and the gear ring and brake disc together. I was able to mix up some paint colors to match the powder coat color on the frame.( pure luck!)

The next steps are to attach the engine, set the chain alignment and length, put all the key ways and lock collars in place and then paint the exposed axle shaft black.

IMG_5710.JPGIMG_5711.JPGIMG_5712.JPGGetting a little more serious. Have the engine all done up minus the fancy valve cover.(need some more parts for it.) have the axle final assembled and painted and the chain is cut to length. Next year we can put the rear tires on to see how it looks! (Tomorrow) Happy New Year!

Below are a few progress pics. Still putting all the stuff I polished back on. Got the Nitrous lines finish mounted, rear tires on. Still have quite a bit to do. IMG_5809.JPGIMG_5808.JPGIMG_5807.JPG

So I had a flood inside my house and it has derailed my productivity in the garage. Dishwasher took out the first floor and finished basement. Still reeling from it.

I hope to escape to the garage and get a mental break from it soon.........

So July my house was completed. Long process!

I'm back at this. I only have a dozen or so things left to finish.

Last night I shortened the chain and installed it. Sprayed the bottom side of the wings flat black and permanently mounted the wings front and rear. Purged the brake system and connected the hand controls to them.

    Pics to come.
