Good guy... bought and sold several cars with them over the past 20 years. He doesn't own any of the cars, just brokers them and helps buyers with financing. You never meet the car owner, you make an offer with classic auto and they negotiate with seller.... trades are unlikely unless seller wants to trade.

I went and looked at it ... body is clean but the cars a 10 footer ... owner is out of his mind thinking its worth 16900
needs paint ... clear coat peeling in spots ... misc chips ,white interior.... yellowing cracking
this identical to a car I had in the early 80's that I inherited from my grandparents that got totaled in an accident
If that particular car is identical to your grandparents car then it sounds like it already has some special meaning to you.
It being the end of the year, before Christmas, i'd make a semi-rediculous offer on it and see if they bite. You won't know unless you give it some effort.
