I am so tempted - but I will NOT own 2 4WD trucks
that I won't drive in a Michigan winter. That H3 is
just too clean & way too nice!

My 87 was an SHP car....that car had everything. Radio controls in the steering wheel, speed controlled wipers, auto climate control, etc....in 87.

Man I still love that car.

Mine was set at 15lbs and I'd say it was about a 14.0 car. Not really fast, but it handled so well. The automatics are dogs.

I really do want another one... but they are starting to get expensive. Hard to find one that checks all of the right boxes... has to be a 5-speed, has to be an 88-89 (interior improvements, bigger intercooler, SHP package which included wider wheels and adjustable shocks).

Somebody swapped your steering wheel then.... because that didn't start until '88 (I think)

But yeah, they were waaaay advanced for the time. LSD and ABS standard, adjustable suspension, steering wheel radio controls, heated mirrors, one touch windows, the wipers, climate control, etc... in 88-89

I bought my '89 TSi in 1994 for $3500. Sticker was $20,000+. It was crazy how cheap they were back then. There are still deals to be found, but the really nice ones are starting to catch the eye of collectors.

I'm not putting it on the same level... but 10 years ago, you could buy an early NSX for $18k-$25k. Now the nice ones are creeping past $50k.

To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" You can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."
