I assisted putting together some of the hospitality stuff for Ford, so I managed to get a pretty good spot for the parade lap.
We got on the track and the 1-2-3 cars from 1966 pulled onto the circuit literally right next to me.
Supposedly Rob Kauffman paid $22 million for the winning car before they did a top-to-bottom full restoration.
Shortly thereafter, I was involved in this situation.

The staff are amazingly conscientious about low cars. That didn't stop this dude with a slammed car with a major front splitter from attempting to drive straight on for some reason, subsequently getting stuck, and having to have the passenger get out and help push the car off.

Wild trip. Got to watch the Ford GT whoop ass in its return to Le Mans. Drove about 2000 miles all over Europe.
