Would be highly paid civil engineers that perform that. Not contractors. Contrators dig and replace based on engineering and the ALL MIGHTY BUDGET!!!!

Southfield fwy was replaced in Allen park. But the state would not pay to replace a crumbling rail road bridge over the road. Was insanely ignorant not too, but the budget didn't allow

All that means is they START every ten years. Impossible to inspect in any sort of a timely manner. Back to the CASH! Want it all done in a year? Sure it can be done. But the city's and residents don't want to front the bill on that!! HELL they don't want to pay fire and police!!!! And that's services they see! Inspecting underground facilities isnt going to get the next mayor elected!

Gonna cost 2-300 million to fix that pipe.... community's that use it will have to pay... they will have to approve a speical bond to pay for it (homeowners will pay for it in increased taxes to pay off the bond)

What gets me is there's a football field worth of dirt missing from the site.... no one down the end of the pipe notice a football field of dirt piled up where the pipe empties?
Heads are gonna roll and alot of people gonna be out of a job..
Going tomorrow to see if i can get my hands on a slice of that hundo million dollar check!

I don't think that's really how it works....The waste water washes away the dirt, not sucking it in. Ever have an underground sprinkler line get a leak? If left, it will create a hollow cavity.

Waste water isnt pressurized like a sprinkler line.. shit flows downhill... if theres a crack in the line the dirt falls in the pipe and gets pushed out

Quick question for a guy who sees too much road work. I drive a lot. What are those things that they set down before they pour crete on a new highway??. They look like little rows or dynamite, sometimes they are purple?? What the hell is that stuff?
