    These are placed in every joint cut in the concrete....keeps the joint from spreading... 275 was full of these which my opinion was a HUGE mistake! All the concrete that i pulled off that freeway, those basktes were completely rotted and caused the joint failure... And yup, they placed them right back in the new concrete

    They are epoxy coated lane ties. Used in most all concrete road construction by MDOT.

    I live about half a mile from the site, they are working non stop day and night keeping things going. Huge cranes and lights. They rerouted some of the pipes to dump over by Garfield north of 16, they say to prevent sewage back ups into people's homes.
