It's signing day and that means time to change the football calendar to the next year. Michigan and OSU both slated for top 5 classes. NSD though started off with a bang when Joe Spivak passed on a scholarship offer from MSU to become a Preferred Walkon at Northwestern. How bad are things in your football program and quality of education when a kid chooses to pay $200,000 as opposed to taking a free ride at your school.

or perhaps because he went to a small high school hes going to be a walk-on and then use the transfer exemption rule to transfer to a larger school without having to sit out a year, if he has a impressive year

Another hit to MSU. 2 star QB Bradford Whitefield withdrew his commitment to MSU to attend Hillsdale College where there is no scholarship.

Spartans just lost 3 star DT Donovan Winter when he appears to have been caught doing a B&E. So far no fallout from UM's committed class.
