    Cool DietBet – Who’s In?

    I recently discovered this “dieting aid”.
    I checked out the website & it looks like it
    might actually help me in my diet. I can join
    someone else’s challenge or I can make my own.

    There are several games you can play, one is;
    Basically you bet on yourself. You & a group of folks
    all pay a fee ($25, $30, $50, $100 etc.) into a pot, you have
    4 weeks to lose 4% of your body weight. All the winners share the
    winnings pot.

    Sounds like a good incentive for weight loss. You are only competing with yourself to hit the 4%. Hope it works for you.

    Myself....I'm just a couple of sit ups away from tri-athalon champion status.

    Whatever works!

    As a weightlifter who has to shovel food in his mouth all day long to maintain weight, I always consider how badly I could kick everybody's ass in one of these contests if I chose to

    Ok, so I joined 2 of these "Dietbet games".


    First Week *** Unofficial *** Weigh In

    My stats totals for my first week;

    Bicycle Ride (open road) - 96.5 miles.
    Jogging up & down stair steps – 2,438 stair steps.
    Diet; Pretty much whatever I wanted, except for carbs.
    (I also battled a cold/ flu all week).

    The results….

    Weigh in 2-18-2017 – 238.2 lbs.
    Weigh in 2-25-2017 – 228.2 lbs.
    My DietBet target weight - 228.7 lbs.

    I have 4 weeks to hit my target weight (which I already beat & won the game!)

    This DietBet thing is GREAT for motivation, encouragement & accountability.
    it is simply one of many key tools to a successful diet.

    I just learned about DietBet about two weeks ago.
    I don't normally go for fads or the like, but this seemed
    like a good fit for me (& many others).

    They do have DietBet games for those who maintain their
    weigh as well, so there is still game for you if you like.

    That's awesome good for you! I could see where joining something like that could help give you the motivation to succeed.
