    Default 1998 Cadillac Deville

A guy I work with was selling his 92y/o mother's car. I went to check it out and the thing is cherry. Garage kept, dealer maintained, all receipts, original window sticker, she left me her cassettes, umbrella and jumper cables (because she said she doesn't need them anymore  )

I was originally thinking it could be for my father in law or that I'll flip it, but I think now I'll make it my new daily. It's amazingly comfortable, looks awesome to me, has plently of power and gets good fuel economy.

So far, took off the stock wheels and put on some 17" DTS chrome wheels with vogues. Seems to handle a bit better and looks perfect. I'll have the windows tinted and put in a Bluetooth radio with a couple subs.

    Car has ~50k miles.

    Picked her up.

Tossed on the DTS/ riding on Vogues.

Car is really clean for a 1998 - just a little surface rust here and there.

Everyone wanted a ton of money for DTS wheels, so I found this DTS with a blown head gasket cheap with new tires on it.

I had a 97 Deville with Northstar. It was a mint old person's car too. I absolutely loved it. Fantastic car in virtually every respect. Super smooth and quiet, good power and handling for what it was. I even pulled about 28 mpg on the highway. Congrats!

Nice ride! I had a 1999 Cadillac STS as a daily driver for a few years. It was a great car: ride and handled really well for a big FWD car. The Northstar had nice power as well. Just be aware that Northstar engines use oil: 1 quart/1000 miles is not uncommon. They hold 7.5 quarts and the low oil light comes on at 5 quarts. These engines are good to about 160k miles, then the head bolts pull the threads out of the block, which causes "the head gasket to blow". Enjoy!
