    Default Magnafuel pump leaking

So I have a Magnafuel quickstar 275 on my car. The car gets minimal use as most of our toy cars do. It started leaking after a season from the housing. Like a shit ton! I sent it back and Magnafuel said the seals and bearings around the impeller were shot and charged me $150. They said it needs to be turned on once a month for a few seconds to prevent that. WTF?

So that was last year at about Woodward cruise time. I bumped the pump over all winter and fired it up the other day to chase the spiders out and I'll be damn if it wasn't pouring fuel from the housing again! Im not running anything exotic for fuel just 110VP. Any thoughts??

Are the seals rated for lead?

As a last ditch effort prior to dismantling it, try flushing the fuel out of the pump using some ATP AT 205 oil. If conditioning the seals/gaskets do not work, then you're stuck to rebuild/replacing the pump.
