    Default CPL Oakland county renewal

For renewal it sounds basically like the same as the initial requirements.

I'm wondering, since I already have, do they need new photos?

Nope, don't need new pic's. download the 2 page form ahead of time, sign it in front of the clerk. Pay your fees. Receive it about 4 days later.

Forms in the link, you can fill out most/all of it ahead of time, just don't sign it.

Just did it. They use your driver's license photo now. Had mine in my mailbox 4 business days later. Very clean process, the forms are able to be edited in PDF edit, so mine was all neat and typed up.

Yep, I did this a week or so ago, all except signing.
If I couldn't type it in and just sign, I'd never pass, couldn't read my writing.

Good info. Glad I checked - my CPL expires in three weeks.

Clerk will still tell you 6-8 weeks, but mine was 4 days and if you follow MGO.org, that seems to be the concensus on turn around time.

You can renew up to 6 months early.

I submitted the paperwork Monday afternoon in Oakland County and had my renewed CPL waiting for me in the mailbox when I got home on Friday.
For government that sort of turnaround is amazing.

Good info, mine expires in the spring. Guess I should get going on that renewal.
