    Exclamation Need a electrician recommendation

    Half my electrical in my house is not working.
    It just stopped working tonight.

    I need to get someone out here.

    Anyone recommend a electrician?

    I’m not a electrician BUT I did stay at a holiday inn express last night.
    One of the two Big main fuse’s outside in small panel before meter?

    Use a continuity tester across the fuse. If it beeps the fuse is good, if not then it's blown.

    Please don't laugh......what setting do I use on this to check it?

    I can check it with this correct?

    Setting looks good where it's at. Turn it on look at the screen then touch the 2 leads together. You should see it change. Then when you go across the fuse it should behave the same as you touching the 2 leads together.


    BE CAREFUL.... There is power in the box. BIG power

    Even if you pull the disconnect that's just the power going to the house. The power from the lines into the box is still hot.

    It appears both fuses are good - they have the same readings.

    This is bad, I also don't have water, well pump is one of the lines out.
    At least the furnace is working & I could plug the refrigerators in other
    working outlets.
