Well that sucks! I have no advice, just wanted to say sorry to hear!

I've been married for 12 years and have a 5 and 8 yo. I can't imagine the mess if we split, "try" to keep it civil for the kids.

The good thing is that I have no concerns about her as a mother. I know others have dealt with much worse. My kids are safe and secure wherever they end up. I don't think either of us would do anything to keep the other from seeing the kids as often as possible. I don't want custody just because I don't want her to have them. If her schedule was different, it would be much easier to figure out.

I am going to be incredibly heartbroken if I am not living with them. With the way we worked out our schedules, to be with them, I have hardly ever spent a day without them... I am luckier than most, particularly during their younger years and the summer time as I have been able to spend almost all day, every day with them before I go to work. Unfortunately, it's probably also why we are where we are... working opposite shifts, we just slowly but surely drifted apart.

I've been through this 2x, (but no kids). DetroitStyle: I feel extremely sad for your situation & I hate to be BLUNT but you need a PIT-BULL RUTHLESS Lawyer because it can get UGLY REAL FAST. You both may be level headed individuals, but the KILLER Litigators go for your throat.
