    Default Weiding Aluminum

    Can a transmission case be welded ? If yes looking for referals.

    Yes, depending on where it needs to be welded. If re-machining is needed after welding it might not be worth having done. If it's just a crack in the bell housing or any other external surface I don't think it would be a problem. Call Chris Razor at High tech welding in Ypsilanti I think. The guy can weld wood. I've seen him do it.
    I used to be 'with it'. Then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm 'with' isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.......

    My guess is that you have to have the trans gutted and the case cleaned too, if you want to get it welded good. Unless a little edge piece or something broke off.

    It depends where the crack is, he has a hoist so it’s possible. A pic would help to determine for sure.
