    Where does everyone recommend to get reman heads or get heads gone through?

    Well, it won't be right away, probably in a month or 2, but my truck burns oil like crazy on startup and if idling for a while, none on accel, so I'm sure it's valve seals/guides, and I'm burning coolant, hopefully just gaskets, but would want the heads checked .......it's a 2000 chevy 4.8l

    yeah I would pressure test those for sure before doing anything to them. Seen many crack across the top near the head bolt holes. Don't see to many bad guides in them more then likely just seals but you never know.

    Greg's Cylinder Heads in Riverview. But you probably already knew that being from Downriver.

    Did the wizard ever get back to you about that brain?????
