    Default eBay Scam?

So there was this auction that popped up this morning for a thing I really wanted (600 WPC McIntosh Amp for about a quarter of what it should have been), but in the description they had a picture of a message asking the bidders to email them or they would cancel the bids. So the auction was taken down, but I had emailed them and they said they still had the amp. They only asked for my ebay ID so they could invoice me through eBay and I could pay through PayPal. They had literally like 1100 feedbacks too. I never emailed them my ID, I just aked them why they didn't just do a "Buy it now" but they never responded.

This is either a scam or the deal of a lifetime, so probably a scam. I just can't figure out how they are running it. Anyone know?

    Thank you.

Sounds like a scam. They probably want you to gift the money too. Then show its shipped and still charge you through Ebay claiming it was unpaid.

I have seen this before. Look at their other auctions. Probably lots of other too good to be true deals. Shady behavior and the smoking deal should be a red flag.

I had mine hacked once and they did something similar as well as a bunch of buy it now auctions for half price on iPods. I'd walk away from the headache.

Was it a McIntosh, or a MacIntosh?
