Going to have a 2 post installed.
Asymmetrical or symmetrical?
Kinda storage kinda to work on cars
I just know my wife’s Cadillac won’t drive up the 4 post.
So 2 post it is.
Positives or negatives of the asy vs sym

Eh.
Nother $400 for them
2 post cheaper and easier to wrench
If you don't have an asym then it is tough to get the doors open because of how they line up to the posts.

Asym needs higher ceiling height, otherwise I really wish I could have gotten one because getting in and out of the car is a PITA on a sym, especially with awkward doors like on a 4th gen f-body. That said, either one is worth every penny.

The only pro/con pertains to opening the vehicle door. So the way to go is asymmetrical. I love mine, makes getting in and out of the car very easy. I still have door protectors on the posts because vehicles with larger doors like coupes, the doors get very close to the column.
With the asymmetrical make sure you have the proper space to place it. By that I mean, the car sits further back. So make sure the posts can be placed properly (not by a joint/sawcut) and you have enough rear clearance for the vehicle.

I have a 4 post in my home Garage and my lowered c6 Vette goes on it no prob.
I have an Asymmetrical as well. It did take some getting used to for me. Putting the car on it was weird when im used to a symmetrical. Having the car about 20% forward of the post while the other 80% is behind was new to me lol
