    Default Trailer door repair?

My car decided to try to escape the trailer yesterday afternoon so now I need to find someone to repair the door. What I thought was a transmission issue in the truck turned out to be the car slamming into the back door after the front ratchet straps came loose. It took a few hits but the bolts that hold the latches on all pulled out, the door opened, and the car rolled out on to the door. Luckily the rear straps held and the car only rolled out halfway. It could have been much worse. The edges of the door are a little bent but can probably be straightened.

So... who does anyone recommend that I take it to?

Going to guess its a 6-speed and the parking brake was not set.

Racecars don't have P. Nobody in their right mind would track an automatic.

Racecars also don't have parking brakes. I have two piece rotors that necessitated removing the parking brake hardware.

Well then...... Time to change rotors and get a parking brake installed.

That really stinks but thank God the car didn't blow through the door while on the road and cause an accident - I can't imagine the liability of a scenario like that.
Were you using the factory t-hook locations? Any prior indication that the straps would becoming aged? Which part of the strap failed?
I ask as I think I bought the same straps and hooks that you had.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Never been there, but Joe's Trailer Manufacturing in Livonia may be able to help. Been meaning to make it there to check out utility trailers

Daaaaaaaaaaŕaaŕaamn! So lucky. Tying a strap somewhere without hooks or ratchets has saved me a few times. A good ole knot never fails.
