    Default Redoing My Garage

Having the walls and floors done on Monday...They say they can do both in one day - I don't believe it, but we'll see.....

Before I moved everything out of the garage...I already moved three of my tool boxes and welder to the front garage.

Starting to move stuff into my front garage - The three toolboxes and welder I first moved...Then the rest of the stuff....

Now the nearly empty garage. I still have to wash the walls and floor. I will move the rest of the stuff outside when they show up to paint...

Nice! I emptied mine out and sprayed the walls and ceiling yesterday. I’m saying no way paint and floor can be done in one day. What kind of floor?

I don't think they can do it in a day either. I epoxied the floor 25 years ago when I built the addition and it has held up better than I ever expected. It was gloss when I first did it, but that has worn off quite a while ago. I am going to have it done the same as the front garage, where all of the junk is now. Just a gloss gray with some flakes in it...

Excellent. Keep us updated for sure. And if you’re happy with the outcome of the floor, I may get the contractors name. I have been debating whether or not to do the garage floor. Maybe in 5 years.

I can tell you it is $2 a square foot to do the floor - I checked around last year or two years ago when I did the front garage and everyone is pretty close. The price hasn't changed in several years. I did the floor myself the first time, but now they are going to grind the old finish off with a giant buffer with a diamond wheel on it...

They are charging me $750 to do the walls and shelves....It would take me 3 or 4 days to do it, I also hate painting...
