I spent some time working with an aftermarket brake manufacturer, and after seeing that, I will never buy anything but OEM brakes again. Most aftermarket stuff isn't tested to 10% of the requirements that OEM stuff has to meet. If the aftermarket supplier also makes OEM stuff, then they are probably competent, but it is hard to tell if you just go to an Autozone or something.

I have installed some EBC stuff on my brothers G8 and my buddys Trailblazer SS. We did the drilled/dimple option on them. This was a few years back fyi. But both rotor setups seemed to warp after 1 winter season. We did the proper burnishing/pad setting yadda yadda. We pulled both setups off and replaced them with Stoptech setups. Which seemed to last much longer, with the same or better performance.

I plan on using OE rotors. I warped them coming home from NC traveling through the mountains but that was my own fault (rode the brakes down a hill then had a panic stop while they were hot) I dont mind the OE pads but if I am spending the money, I want OE quality/performance at a minimum. I perform durability testing on all of the Ford trucks so I know that they are very well tested but sometimes there are better options.

Look into Wagner OEX pads or Wagner Severe duty.
