Flint Mayor Karen Weaver ... issued a statement Tuesday morning calling it an accident. She indicated some of the protesters were crossing a street when they were hit.
...At the time of the incident, protesters were walking north along Dort Highway toward Lapeer Road.
    Along or on?
A maroon truck pulled out of a driveway from the east side of Dort Highway. Once the truck struck the crowd, it hit a Consumers Energy truck.
So low speed. No real injuries unless they were intentional.
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer was in attendance at the protest. She's released the following statement on Twitter: “I was in Flint for the rally this morning and am incredibly sad that so many people were hurt.”
Notice her every thought is about herself. She was at the rally. WTF does that have to do with being sad about people who were injuried? It really sucks the green weenie that Schutte won the GOP primary as he’s a pipsqueak weasel who will most likely get creamed in the general.
The last thing our state (or any other) needs is Govenor who attends such rallies and stokes the flames of division and discontent.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the Flint people were protesting in the street, just like in Detroit, and got run over. Funny how that doesn't make the news, isn't it?

And I agree about Schuette, he isn't the guy I was hoping he would be. Still, better than Whitmer! I am holding out hope that pollsters are making the same mistake when they predicted that Michigan was going for Clinton. The good thing is, as long as we keep a Republican legislature, we can limit the damage Whitmer can do to the economy.

This is (poor) video of the accident. https://www.abc12.com/content/news/W...495090701.html
You can hear the guy with the cameraphone trying to get everyone into the curb lane and not the middle of the road.

The Mayor & Whitmer were at McDonalds waiting to speak to protesters & the media when the accident took place. They had crossed directly across the road, while the rest of the group was walking in the road.

As predicted, a bunch of idiots who decided to walk down the middle of Dort Hwy in the dark. Sorry, no sympathy here.
