Default New Project car - 55 Chevy Bel Air

Well, new to me. This was my Uncle's car for many years, as you can see it's been parked for a long time. I think it's been about 10-15 years since it last moved under it's own power.

It's all there, 327 small block out of a 67 Chevelle, 4 speed manual. It was running good when it was parked. I have to get my garage squared away then have it towed over so I can start work on it. I'd like to get it running and driving by the end of 2019, then start on the body work.

Yep...project is much more fun if it actually drives. Make sure the brakes are stompable 100%, then good rubber. Manual trans will be sweet. FiTech efi or do you like carbs? Cool car Justin! Will it have a hitch????? Lol

It's a carb currently and I will probably leave it that way.

Brakes are on the list. New rubber, going to need a new fuel tank, wiring, new brakes, and probably new floor pans from the looks of it right off the bat. Glass is all there, interior is all there.

Planning on a full out resto? If not, maybe just get it driving and enjoy it for a few years and set a plan for doing it exactly the way you want it.
