I watched a 1972 Corvette lt1 vert sell for $185,000. last night. And then a 67 vert sell for $60k right after. Both were completely restored numbers matching cars. I understand the 67 Corvette price, but not the 72.

Any 2nd Gen TA's for sale in there? Mine might finally be worth something if I ever get off my butt and get it running again!

    It’s simple.
At least 2 people wanted it.
And had the “fuck you cash” to do it.

Out of the 20,000+ corvettes that were built in 1972, only 1741 of them were ordered with the LT1 engine. Of those, it's generally noted that only 240 left that factory with factory A/C. But it's not known how many of those were convertibles, many corvette enthusiasts have done the math as far as production % and it's generally assumed that less than 30 were LT1/AC/convertibles.
