Really all I need is front suspension, and a set of cylinder heads and I'd be really happy with where the car would be. But the big thing is the effort that id have to put in to it and the time as well. I'm getting older, and with work and life on top of that, I'm real worried that I'm not going to have to motivation to finish this project. I've been striking out on every vehicle project I've tried for the last 10 years. I'm not sure if it's a motivation issue, or I need some sort of therapy or something. :-D But the estimated amount to finish this car off, and have a really nice fox body that id be happy with is right between another $5-6,000......
So, I've found a 2001 bullitt mustang that still has stock exhaust on it even. Only thing they changed was they have 18x10's on the rear. Looks to be a nice car, they've got all records since new, and they only want $6,000 for it. Has 126,000 on the clock, which I'm ok with too, cause I wanna drive the car as well. Not buying it as a collector or nothing. Buying it to enjoy it.
I came here cause we're all car guys, and I hope some of you have found yourself in a similar spot in life once or twice, and you may have some advice or something. What would you guys suggest? Finish a project for a little self pride, or reject it and spend the money it would cost to finish it on another "cool" car?
Thanks motown.
