Dude as soon as you said "1989 car made in Germany I immediately thought of Merkur! Cool car!
I used to be 'with it'. Then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm 'with' isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.......

For cars to be registered you have to make sure there is a sticker on the car that states "this vehicle meets all US emmisions...blah blah"

Also, you need to get a surety bond by a customs broker.

This is the company I used last time and I was really happy with them. https://www.adrutherford.com/

Call that company and they will give you everything you have to do, and the cost.
Any idea what the import cost you? I've looked at a few cars/trucks in Canada before but was always deterred by the potential border cost/hassle.

Someone off of church street in Milan had a few Merkurs in the late 90s/early 2000s. I remember seeing a Scorpio around town, not sure if it was the same person or not. Cool cars!

This is the first Scorpio I've had, or even touched from as far as I can recall.
    I've had probably 20 XR's over the past 20 years or so. I'm at 5 XR's & 1 Scorpio right now...
So, if anyone has any XR4ti parts, please send them my way....
