Doubling rent in 6 years? Possible, but unless your rest was
ridiculously low, it doesn't sound right or reasonable to do
such a thing all at once now.

My bet is something else is going on, but that really doesn't
matter, because at the end of the day, your rent is what it is.

As basically everyone else has all ready stated, I too would be
looking very hard at a new location, perhaps maybe even purchase
one instead of rent?

I would do everywhere what you're doing here and that is network
and ask / tell the world that you are looking for a automotive shop
building for rent / purchase - get all the options you can get!
