Default anyone have an attorney for a dog bite? Defense for the dog kinda lawyer.

I have a buddy that is in a shitty situation.

Needs a defense attorney, his dog was protecting itself and bit someone on the leg.
He paid all her medical bills and 2 weeks of her pay, and now she is still suing him.

Did this happen at his house? Homeowners insurance should cover him.

home owners does cover it.....2 things tho. you can put the dog down, or deal with higher rates and have to put a waiver on the policy.

hes taken great care to this point of her, probably shelled out $4-5k to her. out of nowhere he gets this letter now...hes pissed and wants to fight her now. i would too...lots of BS.

Wow, so in case you needed another reminder: People suck. Always count on people to be the worst.

Make the claim, the money for the legal battle plus what he already has out would likely exceed the rate increase. Also at least some of what has been paid out would likely be reimbursed.

I'm on the dogs side every time. People suck, dogs only want to love their owners and give more than they get in all cases.

You don't mention the breed but that will play big roll if this goes to court. Also he they should check for breed exclusions in their H/O policy. If this is none they should make the claim. It could take a while to settle. Need to know more details if you can share.
