Default Fill CO2 cylinder, not exchange

I have some new aluminum CO2 cylinders that I want to keep and have refilled. Prefer refilling them at a place that can do it while I wait. The main reason is that I use them for a bunch of stuff interchangeably (welding, beer, carbonated water, air tools, etc) and I don't want industrial oil and metal crap in my beer. It does make a difference, especially with carbonated water. The amount of crap in the bottom of an industrial cylinder is insane (I've pulled the valves off before to look).

Anyway, I used to go to a local fire suppression place that filled fire extinguishers. They went out of business. Used to cost me $15 for a 5lb refill and $20 for a 20lb refill. The gas is the cheap part, it's the labor...

Any suggestions in the greater Ann Arbor metropolitan area?

I used to go to Spears Fire & Safety in Jackson but I think the guy sold the business to somebody in Chicago. The last time I was there the employees told me they were closing and I haven't seen it open since. However, I keep seeing their little Ford vans all over the place so maybe just the Ann Arbor store is open.

Adventures in Homebrewing does it for $3/lb. Which is expensive for a larger cylinder. I can understand $15 for a 5lb cylinder (labor) but $60 for a 20lb cylinder that takes 1 minute longer to fill when the gas is less than $1/lb... seems steep. I think a 250cf tank of CO2 is still hovering around $36.

Maybe it's time to not use the same tanks for everything anymore... would rather run C25 when welding steel anyway and the air tools don't give a shit what I run through them.

    Thanks guys!
