    Default Oven help ?

Anyone able to help me with fixing my oven ?

It's a gas Kenmore, about 2ish years old. Recently the oven itself wont heat up properly, usually it gets to say 400* and the light pops on saying preheated. Well it never says preheated now and I know it's not cooking properly because it takes 3x longer to cook anything.

I've tried putting it through a cleaning cycle but without it being able to properly heat up that was waisted time.

I can hear the flame ignite and shut down at times... possible it's the flame sensor? If so is it similar to the one is a gas furnace?

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

Im not that familiar with that model, but make sure the sensor is not caked up with crude. Don't bang on it. I'd use oven cleaner on it and wipe it clean.

If you know what’s wrong with it and need parts I would contact the Repair Clinic in Canton. They have parts for everything.

Did the wizard ever get back to you about that brain?????

Sorry guys, got into a project and forgot to check back in here.

I took it apart this morning and sure as shit theres a sensor sticking up right in the center of the oven on the bottom that was caked up pretty bad. I scrubbed everything while it was apart including the sensor and shes working fine now.
