    Default Windshield rust

I have some mild rust bubbling around the windshield and on the a-pillar of my Landcruiser. The windshield is being replaced due to a crack. Anything I can do while it’s out to slow/stop this short of chopping out sheet metal and replacing it?

I am looking for something that will buy me a few years. I realize once it’s started, surgery is the only complete fix... but that’s out of the budget

Chassis saver or por-15, be cautious and tape it all off to avoid a nasty mess.

    Cool

    ^^^ What Mike said.

You might want to ask the windshield installer (if they are coming
to your home) to remove it one day, then come back in a day or
two to install the new windshield, to give you time to work on it
and have it good & dry.

The place we took my son's Ranger too for a new windshield offered to grind it down and put some sort of rust inhibitor on it. Might be worth asking

Is sandblasting those areas while the glass is out an option? That doesn't look like cancer rust, (yet). If you can't do that I'd use some rust converter like naval jelly.
I used to be 'with it'. Then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm 'with' isn't 'it', and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.......

Another vote for chassis saver or por15 but if you use por make sure you topcoat it
