Default Groom's Restos - any experience with them?

A buddy at work has a '73 Camaro he wants to have a number of things fixed/updated and was asking me if I had ever heard of Groom's Restos (Shelby Township?)...I have not.

Just wondering if anyone here has had any first hand experience with them...or knows anything at all? He's not having much like finding any feedback on them.

    Thanks in advance.

I've known Lonnie a long time and he does very good work. He restored a friend's '65 Fairlane and it looked like it just rolled out of the show room. As a nice touch, Lonnie stuck a "Vote Richard Nixon for '68" on the back bumper. He does a lot of resto cars for people located overseas too. Hell of a guy. He isn't cheap, but he does a great job. Lonnie is more of a Ford guy than anything but he is known to do GM and Chrysler cars as well.

EDIT: Something to take into consideration is that Lonnie does have a day job too, so he may be a little slow. Dude puts in long hours running Groom's Restos along with his regular job.
