    Default Daytona 500 2020

Did anyone watch the race tonight? Newman had a pretty bad wreck on the last lap and was taken to the hospital. Nothing was aired on TV and apparently they black screened around the accident when they removed him from the car.

I was watching the race, the accident was bad.
Not sounding good for Newman, details are not
    being released. Prayers for him.

Yeah Nascar released a statement that his injuries were serious but not life threatening. The head on into the wall was bad, but it was the T bone after he scrubbed off an appreciable amount of speed that was really bad.

Pretty crazy that he walked out of the hospital yesterday.

Glad to see that he made it out without anything too serious, had to be one hell of a ride.

last lap, hell, he was in the lead spot, and even with the wreck he finished 5th(granted, crossed the finish line on his roof, but still.....)
